How to Use the Arcane Transmutor

One of the most frequently asked questions in Runes of Magic is “Can someone tell me how to use the Arcane Transmutor?” This question is usually met with answers like, “Read the forums” or “It’s too complicated to explain.”
Yet thousands of players on RoM use the Arcane Transmutor (AT) all the time! How did they learn? Why won’t they teach other players?

I believe most players learned by trial and error or by reading the few helpful posts on the forums that explain this device. But it takes quite a while to get the hang of it so once someone learns, they’re reluctant to spend their time teaching someone else. They’re too busy enjoying the game!

So that’s why I wrote this guide. I figure that it will take me a few hours at most to compile all my knowledge about the AT on to paper and then it can provide instructions for hundreds, perhaps thousands, of players.

And best of all, it’s FREE! You can share this website with your friends, guildmates, anyone you like. It'll save you the time of explaining it to them and it will get the word out about how to use the Arcane Transmuter correctly.

I've made sure to include lots of screenshots from Runes of Magic to make the instructions easier to follow. You can open this guide using your broswer, run RoM in "Windows" mode, and practice what you're learning as you're reading it. The best way to figure out the AT is to play around with it and see what happens!
